Now in his second season with Brentford B, Angel Waruih has become a staple of Neil MacFarlane’s matchday squad, the midfielder regularly providing valuable minutes as a substitute.

A graduate of Plymouth Argyle’s youth set-up, Waruih touches on his favourite sport other than football, his team-mate with the best banter and more in this instalment of Brentford Buzz.

Describe yourself in one word...

Energetic.

What are your dream boots to play in?

The Adidas X15.1s, I love those boots.

How would you describe Sam Saunders?

He’s got a joke here and there. I hate to say it but he’s a very decent player. He’s a great coach as well.

What position do you play?

I play centre midfield, I’d say probably more of an eight. I like to get up and down the pitch, powerful.

Do you rather relaxing or exploring holidays?

More relaxed, more of a chilled one. Even though I said I’m energetic I do like to just chill.

If you could play anywhere other than England, where would it be?

In France. I don’t know what it is about France but I just like that there’s a lot of technical players out there.

A lot of times you see young players come through there and then they get brought to the Premier League, so there must be something interesting going on over there.

Which team-mate has the best banter?

Tony [Yogane] is actually funny. As much as he makes bad jokes, sometimes the joke’s that bad it’s actually funny.

If you could play another position on the pitch, what would it be?

Winger.

Which team-mate is least likely to buy you a coffee?

Tony Yogane, definitely Tony Yogane. I don’t even know if it’s with the cash or he’s just selfish, even though he’s a great guy.

What is your favourite sport other than football?

I’ll say boxing, I do enjoy boxing a lot. I’ve watched a lot of boxing fights; I've even gone on YouTube and watched back fights I watched live.

Boxing and then I’d probably say NBA, I do like watching NBA.
