Brentford B are preparing for a double header against Reading, the first up three upcoming games in nine days this month. Kevin O’Connor’s side came from behind twice to draw 3-3 with an Exeter City XI last Tuesday, 9 January, in their first game of 2018. That was their 26th game of the campaign and their second draw in a row after they ended 2017 with a 2-2 against Manchester City.

That was the first of four games scheduled for January and the first of three home games in the month. Brentford B’s next assignments will be a double header against Reading. The Bees will host the Berkshire outfit on Sunday, 21 January, before a trip down the M4 a week today, Wednesday 24 January. With a Sky Bet Championship game between the teams lined up for Saturday, 20 January, in Berkshire, the clubs will get to know each other over the next week.

The rest of the Brentford B schedule for 2018 is taking shape. Bristol Rovers will be in West London on Tuesday 30 January before a trip to Ireland for games against Dundalk and Shamrock Rovers set for mid-February. A game against Glasgow Rangers will take place in March while fixtures have been arranged against Manchester City and fellow Premier League sides Swansea City and Huddersfield Town. Details on all games will follow in due course. Home games will usually be played at the Club’s Jersey Road Training Ground and be open to supporters.

Brentford B are now unbeaten in four. The draw against Manchester City, in which The Bees conceded two late goals, followed wins against Barnet and Wolverhampton Wanderers. That means Kevin O’Connor’s men have won 15 and lost only seven of their 26 games so far this term and beat sides including Benfica B, Chelsea, Everton and Legia Warsaw as well as Italian giants Internazionale Milano and Associazone Calcio Milan.

All upcoming fixtures are subject to change and can be altered at very late notice. The Club will release final details on all matches closer to the date. A full list of fixtures and results can be seen here.
