Over the past year we’ve seen the likes of Patrik Gunnarsson, Jan Žambůrek and Luka Racic all earn first team contracts having impressed with Brentford B and developed their ability within the setup at Jersey Road.

On Monday 16 December all three of the graduates were presented with signed photographs of themselves whilst in first team action, all of which were signed by First Team Head Coach Thomas Frank and Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane.

The photographs were presented at the Jersey Road Christmas lunch where there were also congratulations for Jaakko Oksanen and Mads Roerslev, who continue to push their way into the first team setup with some impressive performances in recent months.

Both Jaakko and Mads were presented with signed shirts as a congratulations for their efforts so far.

With Mads the latest player to make his first team debut whilst at Blackburn Rovers back in November, the full back said: “I’m very proud to make my debut, I’m very happy because that’s the thing that you work for every day.

“The B Team is a very professional team, so they prepare every player (to step up.) It feels quite natural, we’ve got some very good players in the B Team and play some very good matches.”

Mads was recently added to the Robert Rowan First Team Debut Board at our Jersey Road training ground as he became the 15th player to have made their debut for the club after being a part of the Brentford B setup.
