Brentford B will compete in the 2023 Atlantic Cup in February as Neil MacFarlane’s young Bees head out to the south of Portugal to test themselves against first team opposition.

This will be the second successive year that the side have entered the competition in the Algarve and once again they’re set for some brilliant tests as part of their development.

The Atlantic Cup is a mid-season tournament which takes place every year in Portugal. It consists of teams from across Europe as well as the rest of the world who act to use the tournament to maintain competitive matches when their league campaigns are not running.

Last year the B Team played three matches in the competition as they came up against Icelandic side Breiðablik, Danish giants Brøndby IF as well as Halmstads BK. This year the side will test themselves against South Korean opposition in Ulsan Hyundai as well as two sides from Sweden as they face Halmstads once again as well as face AIK Fotboll.

Also taking part in the competition this year are Brøndby IF, F.C. Copenhagen, FC Midtjylland, IF Elfsborg, Lyngby BK and Viking Stavanger.
