Brentford Football Club has appointed Natalie Burkitt to the position of Finance Director.
The Club announced in March that Tim Chadwick had taken on that role.
However, he was offered a job as Chief Executive Officer of a start-up company and decided to take up the position and leave Brentford.
Natalie, currently Finance Director of Smartodds – a company owned by Brentford FC Owner Matthew Benham which provides statistical sports modelling services, has now been appointed to lead the Club’s financial management from June.
A trained chartered accountant, Natalie has worked at Smartodds since October having previously been financial controller at Opta Sports.
She has also worked for live music and lifestyle entertainment company Mama Group and clothing retailer Fat Face among others.
During her time at Smartodds, Natalie has worked with the finance team at Brentford, compiling and sharing good working practices among the companies owned by Matthew Benham.
Mark Devlin, Brentford FC Chief Executive, said: “I would like to welcome Natalie to Brentford Football Club.
“She has already assisted the Club in key areas of financial reporting and her experience and drive is exactly what is required as the Club continues to grow and with the new stadium on the horizon.”
