Brentford Development Squad striker Bradley Clayton spoke to Bees Player after a thrilling 4-3 win over Watford on Monday afternoon.
Bradley came onto the pitch after an hour of football and went on to score two goals in a spirited comeback from Kevin O’Connor’s side.
“It was very unusual,” said Bradley. “We put ourselves in a very difficult situation but we showed good mental strength to get back into the game and a win is a win.
“Everyone is happy, everyone can’t wait for the next game and we’re in a good run of form. When that happens the buzz around the changing room is good and everyone just wants the next game now.”
The Bees scored their final goal in the seventh minute of added time, having battled right to the final whistle. Bradley told Bees Player that it felt great to get a winning goal right at the end of the game.
“It was very good,” said Bradley. “When you’re on the bench you just want to come on and make a difference, for me as a striker scoring a winning goal is up there.
“We kept on going, kept trying and kept doing what we were doing. We were in control of the game, they hit us on the counter-attack a few times, we kept doing what we do and eventually broke them down.
“I think we definitely deserved a win from the whole of the game, so it was a fair result.”
