OOH-AAH BOB BOOKAH… was one of the most recognisable and iconic football chants of the 1990s. Its subject was Bob Booker, a journeyman footballer who achieved six promotions and three relegations as player and coach, and who was renowned for his hard work, tenacity, dedication, honesty and graciousness.

Bob worked hard, gave his all, played wherever he was asked without complaint, wore every shirt (apart from the goalkeeper’s), and was rewarded by playing or coaching in all four divisions of the Football League. With contributions from former teammates, managers, and friends, the real Bob Booker is revealed in all his complexities in the new book.

OOH-AAH: The Bob Booker Story – an authorised biography of the Brentford, Sheffield United, and Brighton and Hove Albion footballer, coach & assistant manager Bob Booker is now available to buy. Author and Brentford fan Greville Waterman has put together Bob's story and it can be bought now in the Brentford FC Stadium Shop. Costing £12.99, the book is available in paperback and e-book formats.
