Thomas Frank's men put in the sort of performance that Brentford fans grew to love this season. They dominated the ball, created more chances and maintained discipline throughout the 90 minutes.

Brentford have already come up against Bristol and will be keen to erase the 1-0 home defeat from memory. Bristol relied on a late winner to secure the points back in October, with Brentford having to play the majority of the second half with 10 men.

A clean sheet pleased Frank who later said the performance and the result was the perfect reward for all the fans, staff and players following a tough run of games. Turning the corner at Christmas can be key to ensure Brentford shift through the gears in the second half of the season and the Bristol game is a good test of character.

Bristol are now six points ahead of Brentford in the table and managed two credible draws in their last games against Derby and Norwich.

Neal Maupay scored his 14th goal of the season and we've got the Frenchman at 9/2 to score the first goal of the game at Bristol. He also paid tribute to his team mates for putting in the hard work during the last couple of months.

Leo's Prediction: Bristol City 0-1 Brentford

Goal Scorer: Neal Maupay to score first at 9/2

Leo's Tip: The Bees are improving, and everyone's putting in the hard work over the holidays. The sting is being sharpened, and Bristol are up against a swarm!
