Brentford attacker Saïd Benrahma has been named in the Algeria squad for two friendly matches. Saïd has been selected in a 23-man squad for the international friendly between Algeria and Democractic Republic of Congo on Thursday, 10 October, and then for a game against Colombia on Tuesday 15 October.

Following a 1-0 friendly win over Benin last month – the Desert Foxes’ first outing since winning the African Cup of Nations in July – the 24-year-old will have the chance to add to the two caps he’s earned since his debut in 2015. The first game is being played at Mustapha Tchaker stadium in Blida while the second game game gets underway at 8pm UK time at the Stade Pierre Mauroy Stadium in France, which is the home ground of Ligue 1 side Lille OSC.

Saïd made his Algeria debut in September 2015 but then had to wait until last March to earn his second cap. He was named in Algeria's initial squad for this summer's Africa Cup of Nations but pulled out due to injury.  The attacker was in red-hot form during his first season in England - scoring ten goals and contributing 15 assists in 38 appearances. This season he has made nine appearances in the Sky Bet Championship, but is yet to score.
