Brentford have completed the loan signing of Charlton Athletic striker Bradley Wright-Phillips.

The striker completed the deal at the Brentford FC Training Ground this morning and has agreed to stay at Griffin Park for the next three months.

The deal will run until May 22, meaning Bradley will be with The Bees until the end of the 2012/13 campaign, whether it ends at the conclusion of the regular season or in the Play-Offs.

Mark Warburton, Brentford FC Sporting Director, said: “As we approach the business end of the season, it is very important to keep everything fresh.

“Bradley is a proven goal scorer in this division and is a player we have been looking at for a long time.

“He is a player that was chased by teams in the Championship and some of our rivals for promotion this season, so we are delighted we could secure him.

“We are very pleased to bring him to Griffin Park and hopefully he can help us achieve our aims and ambitions for the season.

“He had an outstanding season in League One last season and hopefully he can continue that form this time around.”

The 27-year-old striker started out at Manchester City and scored in the Premier League for The Citizens.

He moved on to Southampton, where he scored 11 goals in The Championship in the 2006/07 season, and then to Plymouth Argyle.

In 18 months in Devon he scored 17 goals in 32 league games before Charlton brought him to South London in January 2011.

He scored eight goals in 21 games in his first half season with The Addicks before firing them to promotion with 22 npower League One goals last term.

Bradley was named in the PFA League One Team of the Season in 2010/11 after scoring 21 goals for Plymouth and Charlton, a year in which he finished third in the list of top goal scorers.

His 22 strikes last season again placed him third on the list of top goal scorers.

Bradley spoke to Bees Player after completing the move – an interview will be available shortly.
