Brentford B begin the second half of their campaign this week, with a busy period of fixtures set to begin. Kevin O’Connor’s side played 25 games in the first half of the season, finishing with a 2-2 draw against Manchester City just before Christmas. They will end three weeks without a game on Tuesday, 9 January, when an Exeter City side are their first opponents of 2018.

The game against the Devonians is the first of seven already scheduled in 2018 and the first of three in two weeks. The match will be held at Brentford’s Jersey Road Training Ground on Tuesday and will kick-off at 1pm. It is expected that fans will be able to come and watch the fixture and more information will be released in due course.

Brentford B ended 2017 unbeaten in three. The draw against Manchester City, in which The Bees conceded two late goals, followed wins against Barnet and Wolverhampton Wanderers. That means Kevin O’Connor’s men won 15 and lost only seven of their 25 pre-Christmas games and beat sides including Benfica B, Chelsea, Everton and Legia Warsaw as well as Italian giants Internazionale Milano and Associazone Calcio Milan.

After the game against Exeter, home and away fixtures have been arranged against Reading for later in January. There is also a trip to Ireland on the horizon and an away game against Glasgow Rangers. The game in Glasgow will be played at Rangers' training ground and not at Ibrox as previously hoped. A full list of fixtures and results can be seen here.
