Brentford midfielder Alan Judge has finished third in the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Year vote as chosen by club managers. The 27-year-old midfielder is The Bees top scorer this season with 14 goals as well as contributing 11 assists in 38 appearances. Alan's form this campaign saw him make his Republic of Ireland debut in their friendly win over Switzerland in March before his season was ended following a serious leg injury picked up against Ipswich Town on 9th April.

Earlier this month Alan was shortlisted for the Championship Player of the Year award alongside Burnley's Andre Gray and Fulham's Ross McCormack. The main prize was revealed on Sunday night at the Football League Awards in Manchester and it was the former Brentford player Gray who took the top accolade.

Now the Football League has revealed the top 15 players in the Sky Bet Championship as chosen by club managers. Alan, who was named in the Football Manager Team of the Season across all three divisions in the Football League, beat off the likes of Middlesbrough's Grant Leadbitter, Sheffield Wednesday's Fernando Forestieri, and Burnley's Joey Barton to his place in the top three.

The top 15 players in Sky Bet League One and Sky Bet League Two have also been announced this lunchtime with the League One selection featuring former Brentford players John Mousinho [Burton Albion] and Will Grigg [Wigan Athletic].
