Adam Forshaw has completed his move from Brentford to Wigan Athletic.

Brentford FC announced a week ago that a bid had been accepted from the Sky Bet Championship side after others had been refused.

After Brentford’s valuation was met Adam headed north and has now finalised the deal.

He will join Wigan for an undisclosed fee.

Adam joined Brentford from Everton in the summer of 2012, completing a permanent move to at the end of a successful Youth Loan.

In his first season at Griffin Park he played 53 games in all competitions and was rewarded with a new three-year contract that he signed in June 2013.

He was named Sky Bet League One Player of the Year in 2014 and selected in the 2013/14 PFA League One Team of the Year after helping The Bees to promotion.

In total he played 100 games for Brentford, scoring 11 goals.

Adam joined Everton at the age of eight and played his first professional game for The Toffees in a Europa League tie against BATE Borisov in December 2009.

He played one Premier League game for the Merseyside outfit, against Wolverhampton Wanderers in April 2011.
