Defender Aaron Pierre has left Brentford and signed for Wycombe Wanderers.

The 21-year-old was offered a new contract by The Bees after three successful years as part of Brentford’s Development Squad.

He turned down that deal to join Sky Bet League Two Wycombe, where he spent time on loan at the end of the 2013/14 season.

The two clubs have agreed an undisclosed compensation agreement for the left sided defender and Aaron signed for Wycombe today.

Ose Aibangee, Brentford FC Academy Director, said: “We would like to wish Aaron all the best for the future.

“We took him as a raw 18-year-old and have watched him develop over the past three years.

“He has been given the opportunity to play First Team football immediately and has decided that is right for him.

“We would have liked to see how he developed if he had stayed at Brentford but I respect his decision.

“Wycombe is a good club, Aaron did well there on loan and I am sure he will make an impact at League Two level.”

Aaron has been at Brentford since the summer of 2011 as part of the Development Squad.

He made his First Team debut in a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie against Southend United in December 2012 and was an unused substitute in four further First Team games in 2012/13.

He made two further First Team appearances as a substitute this season, in a Capital One Cup tie against Derby County and a JPT game against Dagenham and Redbridge, and played 12 games for Brentford’s Development Squad in the Under-21 Professional Development League.

Aaron has been on loan at Cambridge United and Wycombe this season.

He played eight games for Wycombe in League Two, scoring once, as he helped them avoid relegation from the Football League on the final day of the season.
