Derby County 2018/19
League Position: 6th (Beaten in the Play-Off Final by Aston Villa)
Average league attendance: 26,626
Top league goalscorer: Harry Wilson, 15
Having dropped no lower than tenth for the past seven seasons, Derby County supporters will be hoping to go one step further in 2019/20 and secure a return to the Premier League.
The Rams suffered heartbreak in the Play-Offs in 2017/18, losing to Fulham in the Semi-Final. Frank Lampard’s side went one step further last season but fell at the final hurdle, suffering a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa at Wembley.
Loanees Harry Wilson, Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori were central to Derby’s success last term, which leaves Lampard with some work to do in the transfer market this summer.

How to get there
Frank Lampard signed a three-year contract to become Derby County’s new First Team manager on 31 May 2018.
The midfield legend, who won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, two League Cups and the UEFA Champions League during his 13 years at Chelsea, joined The Rams in what was his first step into football management.
Lampard’s his much-acclaimed career as a player saw him play under some of the most successful managers and coaches in world football.
He racked up an impressive 913 appearances in club football, while he was also capped 106 times by England; playing at three World Cups and one European Championships.
Jack Marriott joined Derby County for an undisclosed fee from Sky Bet League One side Peterborough United on a three-year deal.
The striker’s form in the lower leagues has been impressive over the past three years. He was a regular scorer of goals for Luton Town and The Posh, which persuaded Frank Lampard to sign the striker.
The former Ipswich Town man ended last season as the Sky Bet League One top goalscorer, netting 27 goals.
Marriot reached double figures for the 2018/19 season with a strike against Southampton in January. He found the net against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup in September.
Marriot scored a brace during Derby’s 4-2 Play-Off Semi-Final second-leg victory at Elland Road last month, and found the net again during the Final at Wembley Stadium.
