Speaking about his hat-trick after the game, Said said: “I am very happy. It gives me a lot of pleasure that I have scored four goals in four matches. There are five matches left. Why not go and play them all full on? Everyone plays for each other. We are good physically. We have to carry on. It is a bonus that I scored a hat-trick. It is my second of the season. It pleases me. I would like to dedicate it to my family. My father would have been very happy. But that is life. I am very happy. And we won which is more important.”

Said’s second was a vicious cross-shot from the left-wing which flew all the way into the far corner. Asked whether he meant it, Said joked: “I am going to say it was a shot! No, I wanted to cross but the goalkeeper was out a bit and it went in. I am happy. It wasn't my intention, but we will say it was.”

Said’s opener against The Latics on Saturday was the 50th goal netted by the trio of Benrahma, Bryan Mbeumo, and Ollie Watkins this term. For Said, the BMW, as they have come to be known, have really brought the best out of each other this term. “We all try to give our best,” said Said. “We play for the team and we have got to carry on. We have the quality to do that. The three of us are happy when we provide an assist or score. Today, for example, Bryan had an assist and he is happy. I am happy. Ollie worked for us up front. He helps us a lot physically. I am very happy to play with them”Yesterday’s win set a new Brentford club record of five straight league wins without conceding and cut the gap on West Bromwich Albion to two points ahead of their game against Hull City this afternoon. With the goal of promotion still very much alive, Said says everyone is doing everything they can to make it a reality.

“We are a united team, all together, we all play for each other,” said Said. “The more we play, the more pleasure we take. We are happy to all play for each other. We are all in the project and that is the way to carry on. There is no reason why we can't go and get something good for Brentford and for us players. It is something big. We have a goal; we have to go and get it. And take pleasure – that is the most important thing.”
